Therapy that honors all parts of you
—your culture, your story, your relationships.
Hi, I’m Dr. Jingshuai Du— a Chinese immigrant, a wife, a new mom, a daughter and a partner in a biracial marriage and a licensed marriage and family therapist. Life is full of roles, and I wear many, just like you.
I specialize in supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families—especially those navigating life transitions, cultural identity, motherhood, neurodiversity, and complex intergenerational dynamics for over 8 years.
My work is deeply rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and connected—not just to others, but to ourselves.
Why I do this work
As a Chinese immigrant, a mother, a partner in biracial relationships and a therapist, I understand what it’s like to live in between cultures—balancing personal growth with family and cultural expectations. I know what it’s like to juggle expectations, navigate big transitions, and search for a sense of balance. These lived experiences shape how I show up—with humility, warmth, and a deep respect for each client’s story.
I became a therapist because I care deeply about helping people make sense of their inner world, strengthen their relationships, and reclaim their sense of wholeness. I know how powerful it is to be truly heard, especially when your experiences don’t fit into mainstream narratives.
My approach
I practice from an attachment-based, emotionally attuned lens. Whether we’re working individually, as a couple, or with your family, I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome—including the parts that feel uncertain, stuck, or conflicted.
My work is culturally responsive and trauma-informed. I integrate Eastern values of family, harmony, and interdependence with evidence-based Western practices.
Outside the therapy room
Outside of work, you’ll find me reading memoirs, exploring nature with my family, biking, and cooking. I’m fascinated by people’s life stories and resilience, which is probably why I’m so passionate about therapy in the first place.
If you’re looking for a therapist who truly understands your cultural and emotional landscape—我在这里,陪你走一段回到自己的路。
