Neurodiversity-Affirming Individual & Couple Therapy | Be Understood as You Are
Your brain isn’t broken. You’re not too much. You just need a space that really sees you.
Therapy that honors your brain, your emotions, your culture — and your way of being in the world.
What if you didn’t have to mask anymore?
Maybe you’ve been told you’re too sensitive, too intense, too forgetful, too distracted.
Or maybe you’ve heard: You’re so smart — why is this so hard for you?
You’ve worked hard to keep up, to “fit in,” to seem “normal.”
To mask, perform, push through — even when it feels like no one really sees how hard it is.
And if you're Asian American, Chinese, or from a culture where emotional expression is already limited — the struggle can feel even more isolating. Maybe you grew up in a family where neurodiversity wasn’t understood, or where being “different” wasn’t allowed.
Underneath all of this, you may be asking:
💬 “Why can’t I just be myself?”
💬 “Is there something wrong with the way I love, think, or feel?”
💬 “Do I have to keep masking forever just to be loved?”
If you're in a relationship, this can get even more complicated:
💬 One of you needs more structure, while the other needs more space.
💬 You keep misreading each other’s tone, timing, or silence.
💬 Small things turn into big fights, and you both walk away feeling alone.
If you're the partner of someone who's neurodivergent, you may be suffering too. You might feel lonely, confused, or even resentful — and then guilty for feeling that way. You love your partner, but you also miss closeness and connection.
You want to understand your partner better without losing your own needs.
You want to repair the connection without walking on eggshells. You want to feel like a team again.
Therapy that celebrates your way of thinking, feeling, and connecting
You don’t need to be “fixed.” You just need support that fits you.
I offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy for individuals and couples navigating ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivity, burnout, and other forms of brain-based difference. Whether you’re newly exploring your neurodivergence or still figuring things out, or have known for a long time, this can be a space to unmask, to reflect, and to build the kind of life and relationships that actually work for you.
My approach is grounded in attachment theory, cultural humility, and deep respect for how your mind and nervous system work. That means I honor your lived experience, your sensitivities, and your strengths — while also helping you navigate the real relational pain, overwhelm, or trauma you may carry.
As a Chinese immigrant therapist and partner in a neurodiverse relationship, I also understand how culture and family values can impact how we view difference, disability, and emotional expression.
For neurodivergent teenagers and adults, I can help you:
Understand yourself through a lens of compassion, not criticism
Navigate relationships — romantic, family, work — without losing yourself
Find words for your needs and feelings, even when it’s hard
Set boundaries that honor both your energy and your values
Break painful cycles of conflict, miscommunication, or shame
Explore late-diagnosed or self-identified neurodivergence in a safe space
Balance cultural expectations with your authentic self
Feel seen — not in spite of your differences, but because of them
For couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent, I can help you:
Learn how your different nervous systems interpret and respond to conflict, closeness, and stress
Understand how your sensory or emotional responses shape your relationships
Learn communication tools that fit you and your partner’s brain styles
Build shared language around needs, boundaries, and emotional cues
Repair trust and intimacy without blame or shame
Develop new ways to connect that feel good for both of you
This isn’t about fixing anyone — it’s about creating space for both of you to thrive, together.
